Program: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI)
Dates: 12/4/2024 to 12/5/2024
This initial training is for individuals who have never been certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) or have allowed their certification to lapse beyond the expiration date shown on their most currently issued Blue Card(tm) (the card would have been provided at their last NCI Training). The training emphasizes early (verbal) intervention strategies for preventing and/or managing disruptive behavior. Disengagement and holding skills are also taught as a means to help manage safety. Transport techniques are included as well. After receiving this certification, the annual 3-hour Foundations of NCI Refresher Training is required to maintain certification. *Act 48 hours are provided only for NCI trainings that are held at IU8 Offices.
