This online book study will explore AI for Educators by Matt Miller, providing participants with practical insights into how artificial intelligence can enhance teaching and learning while addressing important concerns around responsible use. Through the reading, discussions, and activities, educators will explore ways to integrate AI tools effectively, promote creativity, streamline tasks, and navigate the challenges of academic integrity and cheating fears. Participants will engage in conversations about balancing innovation with ethics, ensuring AI is used thoughtfully to support student learning without compromising authenticity. Whether you're new to AI or experienced in tech integration, this study offers a supportive space to exchange ideas, build strategies, and align emerging technologies with best practices in education.
You will be asked to create or modify lessons and/or materials based on the chapters and ideas provided and then share them for review for some of the weekly assignments to get credit for this book study. This is a self-paced, asynchronous course with assignments due each week on Sunday.
